Soccer Madness!

Yes! Finally, my cough has somewhat recovered after a long time! Today, my class held a soccer competition among ourselves. At the beginning of the match, we were all loaded with enthusiasm and confidence. We charged forward towards the ball and gave it a hard kick whenever there were opportunities, and so did the opponent. The situation was very tight and tense as neither teams were letting the other score. The suspense grew more and more unbearable until after much kicking and passing, the opposing team snatched the first goal and took the lead. Oh no! I moaned in despair and threw my hands up in the air. At that moment, I almost gave up hope and I vented my anger on the ball by summoning all my might to kick it to the other side of the field and astonishingly, my teammate received the ball and shot it straight into the opponent's goal. Goal! My eyes widened and my jaws dropped. I rubbed my eyes and pinched myself. I could not believe that it was true! It was too good to be true. So there was still hope for us. I broke into a smile and gained back my confidence. We continued on the game until it was still a tie, even after a number of goals. Our performance was not that great after quite a long while as we were all dead-beat. Unexpectedly, when it was the last few seconds, the opponent suddenly gained control of the ball and scored the last goal. No! We had lost! Anyway, it was just a game. However, the opposing team did not actually win as they kind of played unfairly as they regarded two goals that only hit the goal post as goals and they continued to play on even when it was an out. Who cares anyway? It was already over.
Apart from this soccer match, we also had a maths project to do. It was under the category of group work. Our objective was to create a board to present our ideas on how to calculate out the diameter of the school crest set up on one side of the building, which was beyond our reach. About the grouping of the members, some of my classmates were upset as they did not get to work with those that they want and argued among themselves. This was then noticed by our teacher and she gave them a hard time before sorting things out. This reminded me of my OPW(Online Project Work) group that I am assigned to as I do not really like to work with the members and I fear that I would not score well for the OPW which holds a lot of my marks. I just hope that I would be able to bear with my group members and work with them well and as well as to score well for it. Okay, I think this should be it. See you next time!
